PCHR Fact Sheet No. 7: Extra-Judicial Executions of Palestinians by the IOF 1 April – 30 June 2008.PCHR-"At 23:15 on Sunday, 20 April, an IOF aircraft fired a missile at Nour Salman al-Dibari (24), whilst he was walking on a dirt road in al- Shouka village, near Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Nour al-Dibari was almost 1,000 meters away from the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel when the missile struck him, killing him instantly. A few minutes later, the IOF aircraft fired a second missile at a number of Palestinian civilians who had just left a grocery shop nearby in order to see what had happened. The grocery shop belonged to sixty year old Salem Jom’a al-Dibari, who was seriously injured by the second missile. His son sustained serious injuries in his right leg that resulted in his right leg being amputated. In addition, 25 year old Rashid Wahid al- Dibari also sustained shrapnel injuries. "29/8/2008
Will a Two-State Solution to the Israel-Palestine Conflict be Bad for Israeli Business?Adva Center - Press Release - A new Adva Center report, Is There an Israeli Business Peace Disincentive, tries to answer that question by looking at the major Israeli businesses that benefit from Israel`s occupation of Palestine and its control of trade. Yesh Din Newsletter July 2008Yesh Din - Newsletter - Din has published data on investigations conducted by the Military Police Criminal Investigations Division (MPCID) between the start of the Second Intifada in September 2000 and the end of 2007 for crimes committed by IDF soldiers against Palestinians and their property. Research by Yesh Din reveals that 76 of the 1,246 MCPID investigations conducted for these types of crimes resulted in indictments—only six percent.14/8/2008

Israel Perpetuates Conflict Through Palestinian Children Prisoners Natasha Saunders - AIC - "During 2007, according to Defence for Children International/Palestine Section (www.dci-pal.org), some 700 Palestinian children were arrested by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank alone. Almost 6000 Palestinian children have been arrested since the September 2000 start of the Al Aqsa Intifada. 350 Palestinian children between the ages of 14 and 18 years are currently imprisoned by Israel"4/8/2008

Some patients from Gaza testified to Amnesty International that they were openly told in interviews with the Israeli General Security Service (GSS) ... that they would not receive treatment in Israel unless they become informants for the GSS...For many patients denial of permission to leave Gaza for treatment has been fatal. Protection of Civilians Weekly Report No. 271, 30. July - 5.August 2008OCHA - This week in Gaza constitutes the highest weekly casualty toll due to factional violence since the Hamas take-over in mid-June 2007. This week also marks the highest weekly total of Palestinians injured by Israeli settlers recorded by OCHA since January 2005 and brings up the number of Palestinian injured by Israeli settlers in 2008 to more than 80 injuries, including 13 children. A 17-year-old boy died of wounds sustained when he was shot by the IDF in Ni’lin. 9/8/2008
