|Video footage raises questions over Hebron `attack`||Ma`an - A Palestinian activist group on Saturday released video footage it said may show Israeli soldiers planting a knife next to the body of an 18-year-old Palestinian shot dead by a settler in Hebron earlier in the day.
However, the footage -- released by Youth Against Settlements -- is not conclusive, and only appears to show an Israeli soldier handing an unidentified object to another soldier, who then bends forward, possibly throwing the object next to the Palestinian`s body. The ministry said over 1,400 Palestinians were injured by live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets used by the Israeli forces during clashes across the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. dn

|Bipartisan Attacks Against Anti-occupation Divestment Campaigns||Stephen Zunes--In April, the student senate at Earlham College, a Quaker liberal arts institution in Indiana, approved a resolution by consensus recommending the college endowment divest from three U.S. companies (Motorola, Hewlett Packard and Caterpillar) which are directly supporting the Israeli occupation in violation of international law. The resolution (thus far ignored by the college`s board of trustees) follows decisions by a number of Quaker-affiliated organizations -- as well as the Presbyterian Church USA, the United Church of Christ, and other nonprofit groups -- to divest from these companies.
