The case against him was unexpectedly reopened in 2015, and last month, the Jerusalem Magistrate`s court ordered that he turn himself in by mid-October after sentencing him to four months in prison, which followed warnings by Israeli intelligence that if he didn`t turn himself in, he would be detained and placed under administrative detention. He had been stopped and detained by Israeli police five times over the past two weeks and not so long ago spent a year in Israel`s Ktziot prison on charges of “incitement” for posting on Facebook. Misbah Abu Sbeih `reached breaking point`, says family : The man who killed two Israelis had reportedly been systematically targeted by the Israeli army and police. Zena Tahhan - Aljazeera - The arrests and the bans on his entry to the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, were what pushed him over the edge, his family believes. "It`s like taking a fish out of the water," his son said. They say he was known as "the lion of al-Aqsa". His long-time friend, Amjad, described the mosque to Abu Sbeih as a "red line”. "It was an article of faith to him. He was very protective of al-Aqsa and he would cry when Israel barred him from entering it. There was no way he would give it up.".-rh 12/10/2016
