The road more traveled? | | Matt Zalen - Jerusalem Post - In a few days, the famous, controversial Route 443 is supposed to reopen to Palestinian traffic, after eight years of being a segregated Israelis-only road. But Palestinian villagers and Israeli human rights activists, who initially celebrated the Hight Court of Justice decision in January, are far from happy. The army intends to open only a small section of the road to Palestinian cars. This does not include travelling to Ramallah - which is the main reason why Palestinians need the road.
