international Stop the JNF campaign that has been gaining ground in
the UK, Europe and elsewhere. We must work to revoke the tax-exempt
charitable status of the JNF, says Nathaniel Miller.
The chanting continues non-stop, Bulldozing homes, stealing land- it`s
all part of the JNF plan! bz | 26/3/2013 |

A clip from south Hebron Hills | | Hebrew spoken but quite self-explanatory.
The army prevents Palestinians from accessing their land. they have no
closed military zone order, which is required in order to instruct the
activists to leave.
Most of the Hebrew you hear is the Taayush activists asking the
commander to tell the soldiers not to assault them (by pushing) or block
their photo angle.
The officer at 03:15 argues that the activists are receiving a salary
from "those who are sending you."

Amid promise to Turkey, Israel tightens Gaza access restrictions | | Gisha - reliefweb - "In
the last month, there appears to be a new policy toward the Gaza Strip,
in which Israel is openly restricting civilian movement to and from
Gaza, as a punitive step taken against the civilian population in
direct response to fire by combatants". The rocket attacks were
condemned by Gisha as a blatant violation
of the international law prohibition against deliberate or
indiscriminate fire toward civilians [but] Israel, too, is
obliged to avoid harming civilians. bz | 26/3/2013 |

Waiting for Saladin (Salaheddine al-Ayyoubi) | | Paul Larudee - Dissident Voice - The resistance may have achieved some success in what Israel calls delegitimization i.e. the isolation of Israel as an international pariah but none of this has translated into a reversal of the Zionist theft of Palestine. Regardless of how despised Israel becomes, few of the worlds nations and certainly not their leaders are willing to make sacrifices for the sake of Palestinians.-rh

Displaced Palestinians return to village after 64 years | | Haggai Matar - +972 - While three Palestinian outposts in the West Bank were erected and swiftly destroyed by the army the youth of Iqrit were able to stay. Indeed, whenever they try to build something outside the church and its single adjacent room, authorities quickly show up to demolish it. But other than that, theyve been living rough and making it happen: planting and growing their own food, collecting timber for fire, unearthing ruins of the old village, uploading pictures to their Facebook page from their mobile phones (theres no electricity for computers). bz | 19/3/2013 |

`I will not get to witness the birth of my child` | | Adam Schapiro - Aljazeera - When Huwaida and I married, much was made in the press about our relationship from different backgrounds and there was a rush to portray it as a modern-day "Romeo and Juliet". But we always maintained that not only were we not so different, but that more importantly when it came to the polarising politics of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, we saw eye-to-eye when it came to issues of justice, accountability, international law, human rights and dignity.-rh

BTselem appeals decision not to indict in wounding of Eran Cohen at demonstration in Bil`in, 14 March 2008 | | B`Tselem - In the appeal, Attorney Lasky emphasized that the investigatory material in the file, including the two videos filmed during the demonstration and conveyed by BTselem to the investigators, proves indisputably that the officer fired a rubber-coated metal bullet at Cohen at close range, in complete violation of open-fire regulations, injuring him in the leg. Hence, the decision to close the file is patently unjust and should be reversed. Moreover, Attorney Lasky noted that the investigation failed completely in examining the broader issues and implications of the case.-rh | 7/3/2013 |

Conscientious objector Natan Blanc sentenced to prison for the Sixth time for his refusal to join the Israeli Army. | | Natan Blanc -
New Profile
"I began thinking about refusing to conscripted into the Israeli Army during the Cast Lead operation in 2008. The wave of aggressive militarism that swept the country then, the expressions of mutual hatred, and the vacuous talk about stamping out terror and creating a deterrent effect were the primary trigger for my refusal. Today, after four years full of terror, without a political process [towards peace negotiations], and without quiet in Gaza and Sderot, it is clear that the Netanyahu Government, like that of his predecessor Olmert, is not interested in finding a solution to the existing situation, but rather in preserving it. From their point of view, there is nothing wrong with our initiating a Cast Lead 2 operation every three or four years (and then 3, 4,5 and 6): we will talk of deterrence, we will kill some terrorist, we will lose some civilians on both sides, and we will prepare the ground for a new generation full of hatred on both sides. As representatives of the people, members of the cabinet have no duty to present their vision for the futures of the country, and they can continue with this bloody cycle, with no end in sight. But we, as citizens and human beings, have a moral duty to refuse to participate in this cynical game. ca | 1/3/2013 |
