Jeep damaged in explosion near Nablus

Friday afternoon, a Palestinian armed resistance group detonated an explosive charge near an Israeli military jeep east of the West Bank city Nablus.

The jeep, which was patrolling the area near Itamar settlement, sustained material damage, but no injuries were reported.

Eyewitnesses said they heard an explosion and saw Israeli ambulances and military vehicles rush to the location of the blast.

Total closure on Jerusalem, baning Muslims from praying at Al Aqsa Mosque

Israeli police and army units enforced a total closure on Jerusalem Friday morning and banned Muslims under the age of 45 from praying at Al Aqsa mosque.

Police and military units were widely deployed in and around the old city, due to Israeli officials` expectation that Muslims would demonstrate following Friday noon time prayers against offensive caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad published in several European newspapers, local sources reported.

Seven people arrested accross the WB

The Israeli army arrested seven residents from several cities across the West Bank, who were allegedly `wanted` by the Israeli military.
Three of the arrestees were abducted from Nablus for alleged involvement in Islamic Jihad and Hamas armed wings, while three from Qalandia refugee camp in Ramallah were arrested, reportedly for also being armed resistance members, according to Israeli sources.

One person arrested in Obadia during pre-dawn invasion

On Friday at dawn, Israeli army forces stormed the village of Obadia, east of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, one resident was arrested.

Soliman Al Assa, 31, was arrested after soldiers searched his house and several other houses in the village allegedly looking for wanted people, local sources reported.

Four residents arrested from Nablus in an invasion of the city

On Friday at dawn, Israeli army troops invaded the West Bank city of Nablus and arrested four residents there

Motasem Al Nablusi, 20, Amjad AL Ghatni, 22, Hamza Mansower, 22 and Saed Amer 24 were arrested when 20 army vihcile stormed the city and troops conducted wide scale search to the residents houses in the city, local sources reported.

Bank accounts of Palestinian Authority corruption suspects frozen

As the investigation of the Palestinian Authority corruption scandal grows, dozens of suspects have had their bank accounts frozen, according to a report by the Associated Press and local sources.

The Palestinian Comptroller-General Ahmed Al-Meghani is continuing his investigation of Palestinian government officials, an investigation which has thus far revealed that officials may have stolen billions of dollars from the public coffers.
