16-year old Muhammad Qadus shot dead at Iraq Burin near Nablus
March 20, 2010
Original title:`Israeli fire kills Palestinian boy`
Ma`an - Israeli forces killed a Palestinian teenager in the northern West Bank on Saturday afternoon, medics said.
The victim was identified as Muhammad Qadus, 16, of Iraq Burin, a village south of Nablus.
The exact circumstances of his death were not immediately clear, although it came amid clashes in the northern West Bank village.
An unidentified Palestinian was also injured, but it was not clear how seriously.
An Israeli military spokesman said he was aware that two Palestinians had been injured, one of whom was transported by a Red Crescent ambulance elsewhere. The other injured person left by himself, the official said.
He added that both injured Palestinians were hurt by riot-control measures rather than live fire.
The spokesman said the incident came amid `a violent and illegal riot` near Iraq Burin, during which dozens of rock-hurling Palestinians approached Bracha, an illegal Israeli settlement nearby.
One `rock-hurler` was arrested, he added.
