Sat Dec. 25: Tour of Al-Qabuw, village Destroyed in 1948

Tour of the destroyed Palestinian village al-Qabuw and a meeting with its refugees

Zochrot invites the public to take part in a learning tour of the destroyed Palestinian village al-Qabuw
(Located south west of Jerusalem on road no. 375)

Date: Saturday, December 25th, 2010
The tour will begin at the village site at 11:00 am, and end at about 14:00.

Transportation will leave the Arlozorov train station in Tel Aviv at 9:00 am
(we`ll be back in
Tel Aviv at about 16:00)

Pick up points along the way - by prior confirmation:

Latrun junction, Harel/ Kastel junction,
Ein Karem square,
Zur Hadassah junction.

We will meet refugees of al-Qabuw and hear the story of the village and its Nakba, post signs to commemorate the village and distribute `Remembering
al-Qabuw`, a booklet prepared for the occasion.


Participants arriving independently will meet at the gas station Ya`ar Bitar on road 375 after the entrance to
Mevo Bitar
