The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil,
but because of the people who don't do anything about it

SUPPORT THE FREEDOM THEATRE IN JENIN
IF YOU CARE ABOUT PALESTINIAN VOICES,
SUPPORT THE FREEDOM THEATRE IN JENIN
Because The Freedom Theatre produces Palestinian narratives, told and
written and performed by Palestinians.
Because The Freedom Theatre is training and graduating some of the best
actors in Palestine -- among many others, stand-up comedians and Sundance
fellows Faisal Abu Alhayjaa and Alaa Shehada, and actor Eyad Hourani, co-
star in Oscar-nominated Omar.
Because The Freedom Theatre`s productions take on the issues of occupation
and oppression with independence, humor, and creativity, performed at a
highly professional level.
Because The Freedom Theatre brings theater and story-telling to the front
lines of the resistance -- the refugee camps and Palestinian villages.
Because The Freedom Theatre sends its unique productions around the world--
to Europe, the U.K., the U.S., even as far as India and South America.
Because The Freedom Theatre nurtures dreams in a new generation of
Palestinians.
And, because The Freedom Theatre is not just a place, it is a movement.
Playback Theater, where a team of actors and musicians transform the
audience`s experiences into improvised theater pieces.
The exciting productions you have helped bring to U.S. stages allow
Palestinians to tell their own stories. Whether they are well-known plays,
like Athol Fugard’s The Island, adapted to reflect the situation in
Palestine, or original plays built out of the experience of conflict and
military occupation, like The Siege, these performances have let American
audiences see, hear and experience authentic Palestinian voices.
Faisal Abu Alhayjaa in The Siege. You helped us bring it to sold-out
performances at NYU`s Skirball Theater!
Palestinians long for the day when they will no longer need to depend on the
kindness of strangers. For now, as governments and officialdom trample
Palestinian rights, The Freedom Theatre needs your help more than ever
before to break the barrier of media silence, continue to train actors,
engage children, build a movement of cultural resistance in Palestine and
bring Palestinian voices to the outside world.
Presented by The Freedom Theatre, Us Too is an urgent protest play performed
by women across Palestine, demanding an equal future.
Please consider giving generously -- especially since many of the challenges
Palestinians face are manufactured and stamped “Made in the U.S.A.”
