Interfaith Peace-Builders delegation arrives in Palestine/Israel IFPB - A 33-member delegation of the American Interfaith Peace-Builders (IFPB) is now in Jerusalem, intending to speak to Israelis and Palestinians and make an independent assessment of Secretary of State Kerry`s proclaimed efforts to restart negotiations. IFPB organizers note that throughout President Obama’s administration, the US-brokered peace process has shown few results while US military aid continues to flow unabated, with the 2014 budget including $316 million for an anti- missile systems on top of the a normal annual $3.1 billion in military aid to Israel. 28/5/2013
Reason for detention: maintaining a Facebook page International Solidarity Movement - Sireen Khudiri Sawafteh, 24 old computer science student from Tubas and a non violent activist, was detained on May 14 at an army roadblock. Since then she is held without being allowed to see a lawyer. Her family home was raided by a large military force and all computers confiscated. She is not yet formally charged with any offence, but the army made it known that the Facebook page which she administered is considered to have constitited a "danger to security".ak 28/5/2013
