New anti-boycott initiative in the US CongressIsrael Academy Monitor - The Republican majority in the US congress has embarked on a new legislative initiative in an effort to blunt the BDS movement, spreading through American univerity campuses. And earlier anti-BDS law, the so-called "“Protect Academic Freedom Act” was enacted but encountered complex "First Amendment problems" for its infringement of the Freedom of Speech. Under the new bill, contractors with the U.S. government and those seeking contracts would have to certify that they are not engaged in any boycott against Israel. From Israeli citizens to UEFA/FIFA - Red Card to Israeli apartheid now!We are Israeli citizens, active against our government`s policies of racism, occupation and apartheid. Soccer/Football cannot take place without fair play. The Palestinian people however, ethnically cleansed from their homeland and living under Israeli occupation for decades, have experienced little fair play from FIFA and UEFA. Palestinian daily life is dominated by military orders which prevent any normal development of a sustainable economy, including Palestinian football.30/3/2015
